Counselling
In the counselling session, I will listen to what you are currently concerned or bothered about, your issues, anxiety, fear, physical issues or spiritual concerns, not what other people think about you but how you experience your life.
Pain is often seen as a symptom that something is trying to emerge within our purpose and sense of direction.
There is no pressure or judgement during the sessions, so the counselling is a safe and therapeutic space to assist you in exploring your feelings and thoughts, and finding your way forward.
The method of counselling is based on person-centred approach; an empathic and gentle style and the session will be led by you, not directed by the counsellor. Many clients, with no prior knowledge of counselling, believe that the counsellor will sort their problems out for them, howerver, a person-centred counsellor will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, and behaviour, so you can become more self-aware and achieve greater independence.
The style used in the session is Psychosynthesis (transpersonal) counselling which aims to synthesise body, mind and soul that lead you to live a more fulfilled life, and sometimes using techniques of visualisation, guided meditation, focusing, breathing techniques and bodywork to draw answers from the client.
